Profound Lines

You know from time to time you see a movie, quite often one you have seen a couple of times, but for whatever reason, this time you hear something different.

Cryptic yep, but I am an avid anime fan, have been for as long as I can remember.  The first Anime movie I ever watched was Ghost In The Shell.  Most people who read this will have never seen it, unless your Japanese then you most likely have.  Like all Japanese Anime it delves into topics that cannot be covered in other media.  I have seen this film maybe 100 times, but today, today something stood out.  Introverted maybe but it stood out to me.

There are countless ingredients that make up the Human Body and Mind. Like all the components that make up me as an individual with my own personality.  Sure I have a face and a voice to distinguish myself from others.  But my thoughts and my memories belong only to me and I carry my own sense of destiny. Each of those things are just a small part of it.  I collect information to use in my own way.  All that blends to make a mixture the forms me and gives rise to my conscious.   I feel confined only free to expand myself from within boundaries.
What we see now is like a dim image in a mirror, when we shall see face to face?

I will let you guys gleam something out of that.  I think what makes up self, is more important than any other pursuit, or goal in life.  We are unique but is so many ways, that the possibilities are endless.

Nice Cryptic one to start the weekend. One of the greatest anime films of all time, spawned a series of the same name and a second movie.  Amazing how detailed everything is, shadow light movements are clear and its believable.

And yay did my first bit of embedding with the you tube video, did it directly no using short cuts :)

  1. you'll never look at a left handed catchers mitt the same after watching "Ghost in the Shell." Much better than "Bladerunner" in my opinion, even though they deal with the same issue of artificial life developing a "soul" so to speak.

  2. That is so true. There is no doubt that blade runner delves into the same dark questions. However this is far more introverted, in that instead of trying to stay alive, the characters both give something of themselves so they can meld and be one.

The puppet master in a way becomes human.

    Thanks for dropping by.
